The US National Security Education Program’s David L. Boren Fellowship promotes linguistic and cultural immersion in specific world regions in combination with public (governmental) service, & it welcomes applications from any field. This fellowship is a unique opportunity for U.S. graduate students to conduct research and study less commonly taught languages in world regions that are critical to U.S. national security interests, including: Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Come learn more about NSEP’s broad definition of national security and the program’s required public service. Note that applicants must be US citizens.
