Researchers often use data visualization as a way to explore data when they are not yet sure what the data show. In this workshop, participants will explore a data set as a group using Python, so basic Python knowledge is recommended. If you are not experienced with Python or want to brush up on the basics, you can take free courses with your Illinois account at lynda.com, codecademy, or the Python Data Carpentry module online. Topics covered: data cleaning, data management, process for exploratory data visualization. (This workshop is part two in the Data Visualization workshop series. It is recommended to attend part one before this workshop.)
