Savvy Researcher Workshops - University Library

Working with maps in the humanities is vastly different than working with modern geospatial data. Places change names and boundaries all the time, and humanists can benefit from thinking of their research areas in a spatial sense. In this workshop, we will learn some geospatial concepts and skills, like web-based mapping tools and using historical maps in your research, teaching, and learning. We will introduce a few free tools, and sources for finding open historical geospatial data.
