The Spanish and Portuguese Department and Latina/Latino Studies are delighted to invite you to join us for a virtual talk by Dr. Rebeca L. Hey-Colón on Wednesday May 4th at 4 PM CST. The title of the talk is "The Bóveda as Counter-Archive: A Reading of the Border of Lights.”
Dr. Hey Colón is Assistant Professor of Spanish and Portuguese at Temple University. Her work is situated at the intersection of Afro-Latinx and Caribbean Studies, with a particular focus on borders and Afro-diasporic spirituality. Her current book project, Channeling Knowledges: Afro-Diasporic Waters in Latinx and Caribbean Worlds, is forthcoming with University of Texas Press.
