Are you interested in K-12 outreach? Want to learn to run cool activities for kids? We’re holding an outreach activity workshop on April 8 to share new activities connecting biology, computer science, and robotics in the context of future automated laboratories (“biofoundries”)!
Come learn:
- How to run two activities that you can use with K-12 outreach
- Practical tips for teaching and engaging K-12 students in biology and computing
- Skills in science communication, outreach, and public engagement
- Join a small group of students helping expand access to emerging tools
These activities will be used in upcoming outreach events such as Engineering Open House 2026 (April 10-11), and trained participants will have opportunities to get involved!
Details:
📅Date/Time: April 8, 1-2pm
📍Location: Siebel Center for Computing and Data Science, room 4124
Whether you're curious about biofoundries and computational thinking, interested in outreach, or looking to build teaching experience, we’d love to have you join!
