Abstract
As members of the Grainger College of Engineering community, we are committed to serving society through our contributions to world-class research and the creation of knowledge and understanding. Our commitment to innovative research obligates us to maintain the highest standards of research integrity, especially in the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. Rigorous and reproducible research requires implementing appropriate research methods, acknowledging conflicts of interest, supporting laboratory safety, following best practices in research publication, promoting positive research environments, and effectively addressing violations of research standards. In this interactive session we will consider several case studies to emphasize the importance of the responsible conduct of research on our campus, especially in the use of AI.
