The IGB Core has grown to provide a large array of state of the art imaging tools to elucidate spatial order in biological systems. This talk will cover both the workhorse tools such as confocal, slide scanners and tissue imaging tools as well as the new MINFLUX microscope and future capabilities such as sequential FISH and volume EM. The MINFLUX purchased in partnership with the Quantitative Cell Biology STC provides 2nm resolution with a smaller photon budget than other comparable super resolution instruments. Sequential FISH imaging provides the ability to localize tens to hundreds of different mRNA with sub cellular resolution while volume EM locates all cellular substructures to 25nm resolution. The combination of these tools will provide an understanding of subcellular process with unprecedented resolution and specificity.
