Biographies:
Elia Morales, Director, Social Sustainability, Global Enterprise Sustainability, The Boeing Company
Elia Morales is the Director of Social Sustainability at The Boeing Company. In this role she is primarily responsible for advancing Boeing’s enterprise sustainability strategy to drive and influence the company’s commitment to socially responsible business practices including safety, employee engagement, equity, diversity & inclusion, and community engagement.
In addition to her Social Sustainability role, Morales serves as Executive Focal for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Executive Champion for two business resource groups, Boeing Familia and Boeing Women Inspiring Leadership (BWIL), and is a member of Boeing’s Racial Equity Task Force.
Morales was previously the Director of Finance & Strategy People Development where she developed enterprise talent strategies to attract, empower and retain the company’s Finance & Strategy professionals across the globe. Morales has also served as the Director of International Finance, where she supported Boeing’s global growth by partnering with the businesses and functions to execute business requirements outside the US and had oversight for financial compliance of Boeing’s non-U.S. entities around the globe. Prior to this, Morales served in roles of increasing responsibility on Boeing’s Corporate Tax team where she focused on U.S. and non-U.S. taxation matters including the development and execution of tax planning strategies, audit defense, transfer pricing, and tax reporting around the globe.
Before Boeing, Morales worked as an International Tax professional at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Nalco, where she advised businesses on a variety of international tax matters including entering new global markets, cross-border tax planning, transfer pricing, and tax compliance.
Morales earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and law degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She lives in Chicago with her husband, Ceasar, two children, and dog, Rex. In her spare time, Morales enjoys volunteering, reading, writing, traveling, and connecting with friends and family.
Jennifer Weber | Senior Program Manager – Korea, International Government & Defense, Boeing Global Services
Jennifer “Jenn” Weber began at the Boeing Company in the Material and Processing Technology organization as a Materials Engineer. She was a product standards custodian supporting raw materials sustainment, development and qualification in addition to addressing production and fleet issues. Jenn also spent time leading development of new methods of compliance for interior materials in partnership with the Flammability Safety and Airworthiness group and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Additionally, she supported BCA Product Development where she led structural material development projects on new airplane programs. With that experience, Jenn transitioned to support the 767 Tanker Program, where she was the Composite (primary and secondary structure) and Payload Technology lead for the program. She traveled extensively in support of the composite part qualifications and ensured compliance to engineering type design. Her combined Interiors and Composite expertise led to a leadership assignment supporting the Boeing Interiors Responsibility Center where she led a team of engineers that supported the Boeing Commercial fleet. In 2015, Jenn accepted a Senior Manager role and relocated to Boeing South Carolina where she led the Boeing Research & Development (BR&T) 787-10 team as well as provided leadership in transitioning the composite fuselage design from Everett to Boeing South Carolina (BSC). After her time at BSC, she moved on to lead a team in support of the development of the BCA New Middle of the Market Airplane as well as become the BR&T Commercial Chief Engineer. She led her team in support of novel qualification methods for primary and secondary structure, development of a unique production system and lead the Technology portfolio for the program. In 2020, she accepted an opportunity with the Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) with her first assignment in BDS Program Management as the Operational Excellence (OpEX) Integration leader. In this role, Jenn worked with all BDS functions to ensure adoption and deployment of OpEx enablers and performance targets to ultimately drive improved performance in Schedule and Customer Satisfaction. Currently, Jenn is the Boeing Global Services Korea Sustainment Program Manager, where she leads Program Managers responsible for Korea sustainment programs (F15K, CH-47D, AH-64E, AEW&C and KHOS). Aside from her current statement of work, Jenn is active in supporting her alma mater, the University of Illinois from both a recruiting and educational perspective. She enjoys spending time with her husband, twin boys (4.5 years old), daughter (6 months) as well as travelling, music and foodie experiences.
