This talk will present findings from a quantitative study that sought to test whether youth who vary in political ideology or identification participate in individual and/or collective action to facilitate social change at differing levels. Additionally, this study identified whether the way we measure sociopolitical participation is biased. Findings support that participation in behaviors to advocate for social change is largely independent of political leaning.
