This talk explores the transpacific circuits of decolonial solidarity by contemporary Native Hawaiian independence activists/protectors who traveled to the Philippines. This research highlights how the still-unfinished struggle for sovereignty in the postcolony of the Philippines has nourished the Indigenous struggle for “ea” (sovereignty) in the settler colony of Hawai’i.
