Learn how you and your students can benefit from the function-based approach of the Wolfram Language to improve learning outcomes and spur research results. Learn skills to use in your teaching, incorporating Mathematica in ways that are accessible to students (even those with no coding background). You will also see how researchers use Mathematica as a quick exploration and verification tool.
About the Presenter:
John McNally has a master of education in curriculum and instruction and a bachelor of science in physics, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has taught in the public and private education sectors and is passionate about making modern physics and mathematics concepts accessible to students. John’s current intellectual interests are varied and include application of deep learning systems and methodology to education, thinking about the mathematical foundations of physics, exploring agent-based computational economics and the development of new educational frameworks using “gamification” and engagement through computer systems.
