Joe Salinas is a software engineer in the Secured Network Systems team at Viasat. Joe received his Master’s of Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he specialized in security and machine learning. Joe interned at Viasat for two summers prior to joining full time and has experience in both hardware and software. His two internships at Viasat consisted of kernel development for FPGAs as well as product testing and analysis. Joe currently works as a software developer for the testing framework that Viasat uses for their crypto products. Joe is passionate about bringing together the brightest engineering minds and working on projects that have a direct positive impact on others in order to make a better and safer world.
