Incoming Cadet Welcome Week (ICW2) is a two-day onboarding experience designed to prepare you for a strong and successful start in the Fighting Illini Battalion.
This program ensures that all new cadets are fully prepared, properly enrolled, and confidently integrated into Army ROTC before the semester begins.
Over the course of ICW2, you will:
• Receive guided support with move-in and housing transition
• Complete required enrollment and administrative paperwork
• Be formally introduced to the structure, expectations, and opportunities within Army ROTC
• Connect with cadre and current cadets who will support your development
• Participate in introductory training and team-building activities
• Have the opportunity to complete the Cadet Command Fitness Assessment (CCFA) and Army Fitness Test (AFT)
ICW2 is designed to remove uncertainty and replace it with clarity, structure, and confidence. By the end of the experience, you will understand what is expected of you, how to succeed in the program, and where you fit within the battalion.
This is your first step as a cadet.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Fighting Illini Battalion and setting the foundation for your success.
