The Office of Online Program is pleased to announce a new series featuring advanced doctoral student research in the College of Education. This Emerging Scholars Student Speaker Series, co-sponsored by the EPOL Graduate Student Advisory Committee, provides a venue for students to present their work and to share advice and support to other students about the research process.

Our first talk of the series is:

by Dr. Carol Dimopolous

Register in advance for this talk. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Carol Dimopolous, new Ed.D. candidate in Global studies, will present her dissertation research on the human experience of the participants of The Purkal Project, change-makers in social innovation that provides free, world-class education and vocational development in an economically challenged rural community in the Himalayan region of Northern India. In this presentation, she will also provide practical advice on how to the components of her dissertation came together, how her research questions developed, and other challenges she navigated through her doctoral journey as an online student.
