The Nelson J. Leonard Lectureship has been a marquee event in the School of Chemical Sciences calendar since its inception in 1987, featuring luminaries in the breadth of the chemical sciences. In honor of Nelson's 100th birthday, we will hold a full day symposium representing the absolute cutting edge of research in the chemistry and biology of nucleic acids, Nelson’s legacy.
The special symposium will feature Thomas Carell (LMU), Marvin H. Caruthers (Colorado), Thomas R. Cech (Colorado), Peter B. Dervan (Caltech), and Philip A. Sharp (MIT).
This one day special event promises to be an extraordinary celebration of an extraordinary individual.
