Russian, E. European & Eurasian Center: Co-sponsored Events

In 2021, the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL), through a generous grant, piloted a non-credit bearing program leading to a professional Certificate in Diverse and Inclusive Pedagogies (CDIPS) for K-12 and post-secondary faculty and graduate students who plan to pursue careers teaching Slavic and East European languages. This virtual presentation will feature CDIPS cocreators and staff who will discuss the genesis of the program, operational principles, demographics of and feedback from participants, content and associated learning objectives, participants’ final projects, and lessons learned about creating and supporting a meaningful, effective, and diverse professional learning community focused on issues of justice, equity, and belonging in a variety of educational settings.

This event will be held in a virtual format via Zoom. To register, visit: https://go.illinois.edu/developingeducatorcompetence
