About the talk: In this webinar, I will first discuss some general parameters for technology integration, as well as best practices for teaching online or hybrid language courses. I will then provide examples of activities and projects that use various Web 2.0 tools to foster interpretive, presentational, and interpersonal communication.
About the speaker: Florencia Henshaw has a PhD in Second Language Acquisition and Teacher Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she is now the Director of Advanced Spanish. Dr. Henshaw has published and presented on technology integration, heritage language instruction, and research-based pedagogical practices at national and international conferences, and she has been an invited speaker at prominent institutions such as Harvard University, UC Irvine, and the University of Virginia.
