ABSTRACT:

An engaging presentation on the current cyber threats and trends that are seen nationally and in our area, including: 

  • A general overview of the FBI and cyber resources
  • FBI cyber careers and internship opportunities
  • Discussion with the participants

BIOGRAPHY:

Special Agent Christopher D. Trifiletti is a twenty-six year law enforcement veteran, serving the last nineteen years with the FBI.  Agent Trifiletti has had  direct involvement in the investigation of a wide variety of cases from all across the United States and many foreign countries, especially with his early work with the FBI in the field of Internet crimes against children.  Agent Trifiletti works computer intrusion matters and is also responsible for the FBI's Office of Private Sector (OPS) outreach and infrastructure protection program, InfraGard, in Central and Southern Illinois.

Agent Trifiletti is a SANS GSEC and GCIH certified computer security professional. He holds an MBA and BA from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri and a degree in Criminal Justice from the St. Louis Community College.  Agent Trifiletti has provided training to numerous FBI field divisions, FBI Headquarters, and the FBI Academy at Quantico; the Interpol General Secretariat in Lyon, France; annual Europol training conferences in the Netherlands and Germany; State, county, and local police; other law enforcement agencies; prosecutors and child advocates; and law enforcement entities in and from Central and South America and Europe.
