America Recycles Day is celebrated on November 15 every year! The Urbana Park District and the City of Urbana's U-Cycle program will be offering free drop-off of hard-to-recycle items at the Anita Purves Nater Center during the week of November 15-20, 2021. Houseolds may drop off the following items during business hours.
Monday - Friday: 8am-5pm
Saturday: 9am-4pm
Accepted only from November 15-20, 2021
- Drink pouches (i.e. Capri Sun, Honest Kids, etc.): straws are okay!
- Pens, pencils, markers, empty glue stick cartridges
- CDs/DVDs
- Compact flourescent bulbs (sealed in zip-top bag)
- Eyeglasses
Accepted year-round
- Batteries (single-use alkaline & rechargeable
- Inkjet cartridges
- Cell phones
- Six-pack ring carriers
