Deloitte is hosting the 2024 Cyber Threat Competition and UIUC has been selected as one of the participating schools! Cash prizes are awarded to the three top performing teams -- $2,000 per student for first place, $1,000 per student for second place, and $500 per student for third place! If you are able to share this information with students, that would be greatly appreciated (informational flyer attached).
Deloitte sponsors the Cyber Threat Competition as a fun and innovative way for students of all majors to test and showcase their knowledge and to grapple with the kinds of challenges that companies from all industries encounter every day. The Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory Cyber practice helps complex organizations more confidently leverage advanced technologies to achieve their strategic growth, innovation, and performance objectives through proactive management of the associated cyber risks.

Top-performing students from Round One are combined into multi-school teams for the invite-only second round competition at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas.
Round One (October 23rd - November 13th, 2023)
- Online business and technical knowledge-based questions
- Cyber challenges for additional points
- Compete against for the highest scores and an invitation to Round Two
Round Two (February 15-17, 2024)
- In-person team-based cyber incident response simulation at Deloitte University in Westlake, TX
- Presentations to a panel of Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory leaders
- Top three teams take home cash prizes
