In the first part of this talk I will discuss kSZ velocity reconstruction, which combines CMB and galaxy survey data to reconstruct the radial velocity field of the universe. I will introduce the method and show our recent results on ACTxDESI-LS using a QML power spectrum estimator. In the second part of this talk I will discuss our work on using LLMs to improve algorithms in cosmology (https://madevolve.org/), including an application to DESI BAO reconstruction with preliminary results on data.
