Jason Petti is the Manager of the Solid Mechanics Computational Analysis Department at Sandia National Laboratories which provides complex structural failure and impact simulations to support numerous Sandia mission areas.  Before his current position, Jason managed the Nuclear Safety Technologies Department supporting Sandia’s nuclear facilities and the System Design and Operations Practices Department supporting Sandia’s Z Pulsed Power Facility.  In addition, Jason currently leads Sandia’s Recruiting Team for the University of Illinois where he coordinates nearly 30 Illinois alumni that recruit at the university.  Prior to his management positions, Jason was a Test Director and Sandia’s Rocket Sled Tracks as well as a Principal Investigator and Structural Analyst supporting numerous projects for the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.  Prior to Jason’s 21+ years at Sandia, he received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
