The observation of the first lensed star in 2016 opened up a new frontier in extragalactic astronomy. By studying stars outside the Milky Way, we can start to answer hypotheses that were previously unrealisable. In this talk, I will begin with an introduction to gravitational lensing and then present a brief history of lensed star observations. Finally, I conclude with our contributions to this field using observations from the James Webb Space Telescope.
