The location of mechanophores in lamellar triblock copolymers was tested using coarse grained molecular dynamics. The goal is to study is to gain understanding how location can impact the activation of a mechanophore in a triblock system. In addition to how the location affects activation the effects of direction of deformation is also being studied. The activation in the parallel to the lamella and perpendicular to the lamella deformation direction was studied along with how activation changed with strain. Additionally, the alignment of the mechanophores with respect to the direction of deformation was invested to see the effects on activation. Based on current results the location appears to effect activation when deformed in the X direction but little effect when deformed in the Y direction.
