"Magnetization Dynamics in Non-collinear Antiferromagnets"

Most information is ultimately stored on spins in magnetic materials. To overcome the limitations of ferromagnetic information devices, such as instability under magnetic fields and cross-talk between devices, antiferromagnets have recently attracted attention [1]. In particular, noncollinear antiferromagnets can strongly interact with current and light due to the topology of the band structure, which can be controlled by the spin configurations [2].

In this presentation, I will talk about the spin dynamics in Mn3Sn, a noncollinear antiferromagnetic Weyl semimetal. In the first part, the magnetization dynamics in Mn3Sn is discussed theoretically and analytically and a micromagnetic model for noncollinear antiferromagnets will be introduced. The model can be used to study antiferromagnetic non-uniform configurations on the micrometer scale. The second part focuses on the current-driven magnetization switching in Mn3Sn, which is mediated by thermal spin reconfiguration and the spin-orbit torque [3].
