Abstract
The presentation covers different well flow phenomena like removal of drilled particles, displacement between fluid system and optimized mixing of fluids. Furthermore, a suitable model description of these types of fluids is presented. This model is a variation of the Herschel-Bulkley model based on the Nelson & Ewoldt approach.

About the Speakers

Arild Saasen is a Professor at the University of Stavanger, Norway. He has a background as mathematician with a PhD in Rheology. He has held several positions within technology development and advisory in energy companies like Equinor and Aker BP. He has also founded several technology companies that he follows closely.

Jan David Ytrehus is a senior research scientist at SINTEF in Trondheim, Norway. His background is mainly from mechanical engineering. He has worked with drilling fluids and various well applications for more than 20 years and been responsible for numerous technology projects with universities, research institutions and industry.

Host: Professor Randy Ewoldt
