The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute and Mayo Clinic & Illinois Alliance for Technology-Based Healthcare are pleased to invite undergraduate students across campus to apply for the summer 2023 Health Equity Research Experience at Mayo Clinic. The 2023 pilot program will provide two Illinois undergraduate students with the opportunity to address health disparities and become fully immersed in the research and culture of a major medical center with top-notch scientists at Mayo Clinic for 10 weeks over the summer. Selected students will participate in a supportive community of undergraduates, including Illinois SURF, while receiving support from a faculty mentor and a $6,000 stipend to cover living expenses. The Summer 2023 Health Equity Research Experience application period is now open. Outstanding sophomore and junior undergraduates interested in examining health equity through hands-on research are encouraged to participate. The deadline to apply is March 27, 2023.
