Alan Landmann graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in General Engineering in 1983 and an MS in General Engineering in 1985. Following college he accepted an offer from the Boeing Company in Seattle WA; his first job was working on commercial airplane cabin noise technology. He continued in the technical field of acoustics and vibration, and over a 38 year career at Boeing has worked on many programs, including commercial airplanes, military airplanes, and space launch vehicles. Most recently he has contributed to the new 777-9 commercial airplane, the Air Force KC-46 Aerial Refueling Tanker and the NASA Space Launch System Artemis I. He received a NASA Space Flight Awareness Award for his contributions to human space flight on the Space Launch System program. In 2019 he was promoted to Senior Technical Fellow. He is a member of the Boeing Enterprise Flight Engineering Technical Council.
