Laura graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in General Engineering (now merged with Industrial Engineering to form Industrial and Systems Engineering). While studying at UIUC, Laura had a specialization in International Marketing & French and studied abroad at the Université de technologie de Compiègne.
Laura is currently an Information Technology Leader at Brunswick Corporation, a Marine industry leader headquartered in Mettawa, Illinois. In her current role she focuses on Corporate and Enterprise Applications within the Office of the CIO at Brunswick Corporation. She is responsible for IT and Business alignment across several enterprise functions; HR, Marketing, Communications, Legal, Finance and IT. Her primary responsibilities include working with key stakeholders within these areas to develop IT strategy & roadmaps and prioritization & management of the portfolio of initiatives. Laura also oversees a team of Business Relationship Managers and Analysts that help deliver these initiatives and provide day to day support of a variety of business technology applications.
In Laura’s 17-year career at Brunswick, Laura has led and participated in many initiatives including re-engineering business processes, introducing new systems, and enhancing solutions for the business. She is well versed in software implementations, project management and portfolio management. Laura is a critical and creative thinker who successfully analyzes business needs, lays out clear project plans, and subsequently designs and delivers solutions. Laura recently participated in a very unique Woman’s Leadership Development program called Woman Unlimited where she was able to build her business acumen, build on her leadership skills, and progress to the next level of leadership.
Prior to joining Brunswick Corporation, Laura held various consulting roles of increasing responsibility as a Trainer, Programmer & Business Systems Analyst focusing mainly on Oracle solutions delivering on many full lifecycle development projects.
