Join GradSWE at Illinois on April 7th at 12pm for a lunch with PPG, a Fortune 500 company which is a global maker of paints, coatings, and specialty materials. Speakers from PPG include University of Illinois alumni, Matthew Luchansky '12 (Chemistry, PhD) & Dhawal Thakare '21 (MechSE, PhD). The session will highlight STEM careers in industry and give a personal perspective on the transition from academia to industry. This will be an opportunity to learn about the differences in R&D between academia and industry, how to excel at industry recruiting, and how to have an impactful industrial career. The presentation will also introduce PPG and the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) efforts. At the end of the talk, there will be time for Q&A and a rapid resume review.
