The University of Illinois’ i-MADE student organization is proud to announce that we will be hosting Design-a-Thon 2020! This event will be a virtual, (almost) 24 hour long engineering competition that will consist of educational workshops, engaging design initiatives, and opportunities to interact with fellow engineers across the country.
The event will be occurring from Friday, January 29th at 4 PM to Saturday January 30th at noon.
Throughout the competition, participants will work in teams to creatively fulfill the design deliverables presented at the beginning of the evening. Teams will collaborate overnight with access to office hours with professionals for any help they might need. By the following afternoon, each team will craft a presentation that explains their final design.
After these presentations, a panel of judges will vote on the best project. This event is an incredible opportunity for engineering students to gain valuable skills in solving real world medical engineering problems, and no prior experience is required. Amazon gift cards will also be awarded to top performing teams.
