Alan Landmann graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in General Engineering in 1983 and an MS in General Engineering in 1985.  Following college he accepted an offer from the Boeing Company in Seattle WA; his first job was working on commercial airplane cabin noise technology.  He continued within the technical field of acoustics and vibration, and over a 35 year career at Boeing, Alan has worked on many programs with challenging acoustic and vibration environments, including commercial airplanes, military airplanes, space launch vehicles and missiles.   Most recently he has contributed to the new 777-9 commercial airplane, the Air Force KC-46 Aerial Refueling Tanker and the NASA Space Launch System (the rocket going to Mars).  He received a NASA Space Flight Awareness Award for his contributions to human space flight on the Space Launch System program.  In 2019 he was promoted to Senior Technical Fellow at the Boeing Company.
