The Illini Datathon has been one of the biggest events held on campus for data science and data analytics. The Datathon attracts interested graduate and undergraduate students from a variety of majors including stats, math, engineering, economics, business, etc. As participants, you will be presented a complex dataset that has been created by our corporate sponsors, and have 36 hours to predict and discover insights about the dataset. Through this process, you will gain experience of dealing with imperfect data and designing a practical approach to solve a business problem. On top of that, you will be given opportunities to work directly with company mentors, gain recruitment opportunities, and win big prizes!
We have now opened up registration for the Datathon. The application below is a formality for us to gather information and help us plan for food and apparel logistics. The application deadline is Sunday, February 9th by 11:59pm.
