How do you deal with conflict? Women@NCSA will be hosting a conflict management workshop on Wednesday, October 2 from 1:30-2:30pm in NCSA room 1030. A common misconception is that conflict is always negative. Some situations require compromising or collaborating to find new solutions. Other times, the best solution may be to avoid conflict, or to accommodate the opposing side. Or, it may be important to you to compete and have your way!

In this workshop, we explore how conflict often arises, and how it can be used as an opportunity for change and greater understanding. We will practice different techniques of conflict resolution and leave with techniques to apply in various scenarios.

This workshop is open to all staff, affiliates, students, and friends of NCSA. Refreshments will be served.

Women@NCSA provides professional development and networking opportunities for employees, affiliates, and students. Our objective is to create a more diverse and inclusive environment through outreach, talks and events. The monthly events will be structured to drive conversations around our experiences as women in the workplace, develop professional skills, and to create and strengthen professional relationships. W@NCSA hopes to empower women and provide a network of support within NCSA and the community.
