On June 22nd the Illini Solar Car team and Illinois State University Solar Car Rayce Team are putting on a mock solar challenge, in preparation for the Formula Sun Grand Prix in July! Starting in Kankakee the teams will travel to Normal via a checkpoint in Champaign! Look for the solar cars on the road, the public are invited to see the cars at the checkpoint in Champaign at the Orpheum Children's Science Museum and the finish on the ISU Campus.
The solar cars will be on display with team members available from shortly after 1pm to 2pm outside the Orpheum Children's Science Museum in downtown Champaign. The event is free and open to the public!
