Join us for Illinois Water Day on April 11th, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm on the Bardeen Quad!
The United Nations is celebrating Water for All for World Water Day this year. Access to clean water is critical for public health and sustainable development yet marginalized groups often lack access to safe water. Stop by anytime from 1 to 3 pm to learn more about the need for safe water for all through different interactive activities and exhibits. Some of the exciting exhibits will focus on topics involving:
**Predicting and mitigating the effects of droughts
**Gender and water access
**Water, sanitation, and hygiene in developing nations
**Water access at local and regional levels
These exhibits will be hosted by local experts and all ages are welcome to participate! Check out our Facebook at IllinoisWaterDay and twitter at ILWaterDay for more information about the event, exhibits and activities.
