Geoarchaeology is an interdisciplinary method that utilizes techniques from geology to help answer archaeological questions. In this webinar, Research Geoarchaeologist, Caitlin Rankin, will discuss some of the common applications of geoarchaeology and provide specific examples from her past research using buried soil elevations to model 3D paleo-landscapes at Cahokia Mounds, as well as future plans to create a regional paleo-topographic model of the American Bottom floodplain in Southern Illinois.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information about joining the meeting.
