The Dmytro Shtohryn International Ukrainian Studies Conference will be held at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from October 2–4, 2025. The conference celebrates Dr. Dmytro Shtohryn’s contributions to Ukrainian Studies.
This year’s theme is “Continuities
and Ruptures in Ukrainian Culture and Society.” Each panel will explore historical and contemporary perspectives on Ukrainian identity, culture, language, history, and the experiences of ethnic minorities.
The conference will be hybrid, with both in-person and Zoom sessions. Presentations will be in English and Ukrainian. The conference program includes panels, keynote addresses, cultural events, and a professionalization workshop for graduate students and early-career scholars.
