The campus is currently looking to nominate sophomores and juniors who are taking action to address environmental concerns for the prestigious Udall Scholarship. The Udall awards $7,000 to sophomores or juniors committed to a career related to the environment. Students must be US citizens, US nationals, or US permanent residents. A successful applicant will have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate leadership and a commitment to service. The University of Illinois may nominate up to six students for the Udall Scholarship. The campus deadline is January 27, 2025 to be considered. On November 15th from 3:00-4:00 we are hosting a workshop on how to craft a Udall Application.
Please note there are also Udall awards for Native American students interested in tribal policy or health care (no need to be related to the environment).*
