Join us for Part II of our Women Environmental Defenders and Climate Change in the Amazon series on Nov. 18! Dr. Andrea Sempértegui, Assistant Professor of Politics at Whitman College, will share insights into the fierce fight for environmental justice led by Indigenous women in Ecuador’s Amazon. Explore the intersections of feminism, environmentalism, and Indigenous rights, and learn how Mujeres Amazónicas are confronting extractive industries head-on.
