An unmet need in Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the discovery of a functional remyelinating therapy. In the current seminar identification of novel estrogen receptor ligands (UIUC collaboration) that are immunomodulatory and induce functional remyelination in different mouse models of MS will be discussed.
