In this talk, we investigate the effects of measurement protocol the out-of-equilibrium dynamical effects of aging, rejuvenation, and memory in a single crystal of the metallic spin glass copper manganese (CuMn) 7.92 at. %. These projects exploit the protocol-dependence of the ac susceptibility as a probe of the rugged energy landscape. In the first part of my talk, I will first discuss our progress in understanding the memory effect, and in the second, I will discuss how our experiments help understand the competing roles aging and rejuvenation as the temperature changes.
