Join Dr. Erik Garcell (Technical Marketing Manager) from Classiq in a Quantum Software Development Workshop. Classiq offers its quantum software development platform free to academics and will host a free workshop where students and researchers can learn how to use their platform.

During the workshop, attendees will learn how to design novel quantum algorithms, generate optimized quantum circuits, and seamlessly execute them on any quantum hardware. This hands-on experience will allow academic researchers and students to leverage this new technology and explore the exciting world of quantum computing. Additionally, in partnership with Microsoft, they are able to not only offer free access to the software but also provide free access to quantum computer run time as well.

This workshop will be held on April 26 from 2-4pm in 1043 LUMEB. Attendees should bring a computer for hands-on learning.

Space is limited to the first 40 participants to register: https://forms.illinois.edu/sec/704564208
Day-of walk-ins are welcome if there are still open spots.

Get Hands-On With Quantum Circuit Design and Execution

Abstract: Are you interested in learning more about quantum computing, or how about designing quantum circuits in minutes instead of hours? Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will learn about the future of quantum computing with Classiq's free academic program!

In this workshop, we will guide you through the process of designing quantum circuits using high-level modeling languages and execute those quantum circuits on real quantum hardware. Specifically, we will focus on state preparations and addition circuits, which are fundamental building blocks for many quantum algorithms. You will learn how to use The Classiq Platform to design these circuits with ease, and then execute them on Microsoft's quantum hardware, all for free!

This workshop is designed for university students and professors who are interested in gaining hands-on experience with state-of-the-art quantum software and hardware. No previous experience with quantum computing is necessary - we will guide you through every step of the way. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn about the future of computing and to gain valuable skills for your academic and professional career!

Bio: Dr. Erik Garcell is technical marketing manager at Classiq, which is revolutionizing the process of developing quantum computing software by taking quantum software to a higher level. Dr. Garcell was previously innovation product manager for IP.com and an innovation research scientist at Kodak Alaris. He has a doctorate in physics from the University of Rochester and a Master of Science in Technical Entrepreneurship & Management from the University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business.
