The unique physics of correlated electron systems has inspired abundant research in the condensed matter community. Also, angle-resolved photoemission (ARPES) has served as a powerful tool in uncovering the electronic band-structure of many materials. Connecting this experimental method with correlated electron systems, double photon emission (DPE) offers more insights than traditional ARPES measurements. In this presentation, I will discuss the motivation for DPE instrumentation, how it works, and I will show some relevant results.
