Urbana-Style Condensed Matter, Condensed, a mini-symposium

Please join us for the first Urbana-Style Condensed Matter, Condensed (USCMC) mini-symposium on Friday, August 28, from 1:00-5:00 pm.

USCMC is a half-day showcase of condensed matter research happening across Urbana, featuring 32 three-minute lightning talks by graduate students and postdocs, followed by 32 posters for deeper discussion! The mini-symposium will present a broad snapshot of the materials, techniques, theories, and questions being explored in our condensed matter community, and spark new conversations and collaborations. This event is open to everyone in the department, and we hope people from all areas will find interesting ideas, tools, and possible synergies. The lightning talks will be held in ESB 190, with poster sessions and coffee/snacks on the Supercon 2nd floor. Please feel free to attend any part of the afternoon.
