Gravitational-wave observations of coalescing neutron stars offer a unique window into a regime where gravity and matter interact strongly and evolve dynamically. In this talk, we examine the tidal‑resonance imprint on waveforms arising in the final ∼100 milliseconds of inspiral. Notably, the fundamental mode resonantly excited during this stage exhibits pronounced nonlinearities beyond the reach of current analytical approaches. We present a first‑of‑its‑kind suite of high‑precision numerical simulations that partially confirm our theoretical predictions while uncovering new nonlinear phenomena. We propose a simple modification to current waveform models to capture the late‑time signal, and highlight the need for more comprehensive modeling to achieve full consistency.
