The ANTHONY J. LEGGETT INSTITUTE FOR CONDENSED MATTER THEORY

October 9-11, 2026

A Conference and Memorial in honor of Anthony J. Leggett

In this Conference and Memorial, we celebrate the magnificent scientific life of our beloved colleague Sir Anthony J. Leggett. Known for his depth of intellect and expansive view of physics, Sir Anthony J. Leggett was also deeply human. He insisted on being called simply Tony, a true sign of his inherent humility, a natural counterweight to his prodigious physics. His life spanned from 26 March 1938 to 8 March of this year.
