This webinar is presented by Dr. Florencia Henshaw, Director of Advanced Spanish, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Henshaw will first discuss some general parameters for technology integration, as well as best practices for teaching online or hybrid language courses. She will then provide examples of activities and projects that use various Web 2.0 tools to foster interpretive, presentational, and interpersonal communication.

Florencia Henshaw has a PhD in Second Language Acquisition and Teacher Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she is now the Director of Advanced Spanish. Dr. Henshaw has published and presented on technology integration, heritage language instruction, and research-based pedagogical practices at national and international conferences, and she has been an invited speaker at prominent institutions such as Harvard University, UC Irvine, and the University of Virginia.
