The European Union Center at the University of Illinois would like faculty and staff who support the internationalization of the curriculum as well as faculty development and global partnerships to join us in an upcoming discussion of how to imagine, organize, and fund remote teaching collaborations with scholars around the globe.

The EU Center has invited GianMario Besana, Associate Provost for Global Engagement and Online Learning at DePaul University, and a leading national expert on the growing field of virtual exchange, to come to campus for two presentations on how to integrate virtual exchange more regularly into our curriculum. Dr. Besana's visit is intended to help faculty, administrators, and student leaders imagine new forms of collaboration with colleagues abroad that are accessible to the most diverse population of students, implementable in periods of instability, and carbon-neutral.

The two sessions will take place on Tuesday, March 10th in Lucy Ellis Lounge: for faculty and student leaders from 9 to 10:30AM, and for interested administrators who support faculty projects from 11 to 12PM.

Funding for this workshop is provided by a grant to the EU Center from the U.S. Department of Education Title VI Area Studies program, the Office of the Dean of LAS, and the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning.
