In this presentation, an educator describes his experiences working with financial school clubs to foster economic literacy, personal growth and peer/group dynamics. He talks about his six years building club programs that lead to rewarding lifelong learning experiences, using the Euro Challenge competition as an example.
About the presenter: Anthony Schiliro has been a history teacher for 20 years and 16 of them in NYC public schools. He has spent the last six years at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Manhattan, teaching AP World History, AP U.S. History, Economics, and Government. He has been the advisor for numerous clubs including Finance and Investment Club, Student Government, as well as Co-Coach of the Varsity Soccer Team.
